Your wig is an investment, and with proper care, it can provide years of beautiful wear. Whether you wear your wig every day or save it for special occasions, following these care recommendations will help preserve its softness, shine, lace, and overall longevity.
Before You Wear Your Wig
Before wearing your wig for the first time:
✔ Gently remove all packaging.
✔ Shake the wig lightly to restore its style.
✔ If needed, lightly style your wig to your preference.
✔ If your wig has uncut lace, trim it carefully or have it professionally customized.
✔ Store your wig on a mannequin head or wig stand whenever possible when not in use.
Daily Maintenance
A few minutes of care after each wear can greatly extend the life of your wig.
We recommend:
✔ Gently detangling before and after wearing.
✔ Starting at the ends and working toward the roots.
✔ Using a wide-tooth comb or wig brush designed for human hair.
✔ Avoiding excessive pulling near the lace.
For curly and textured hair, finger detangling is often the gentlest option.
Washing Your Wig
Wash your wig whenever you notice product buildup or after approximately 8–15 wears, depending on how often it's worn.
Step 1
Carefully detangle the hair before washing.
Step 2
Wet the hair with cool to lukewarm water.
Avoid twisting or bunching the hair together.
Step 3
Apply a moisturizing, sulfate-free shampoo.
Work the shampoo downward from roots to ends.
Rinse thoroughly.
Repeat if necessary.
Step 4
Apply a moisturizing conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends.
Avoid applying heavy conditioner directly onto the lace.
Allow the conditioner to sit for several minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
Drying
Gently blot excess water using a microfiber towel or soft cotton T-shirt.
Never aggressively rub the hair.
Allow the wig to air dry on a wig stand whenever possible.
If using a blow dryer, always apply a heat protectant and use the lowest effective heat setting.
Heat Styling
Virgin human hair wigs can be curled, straightened, and restyled.
Before using heat:

✔ Begin with the lowest effective temperature.
✔ Avoid repeatedly passing hot tools over the same section.
Excessive heat may dry out the hair, fade custom color, and shorten the lifespan of your wig.
Caring for Curly & Wavy Hair
Curly and wavy textures naturally require more moisture than straight hair.
To help maintain definition:
✔ Mist lightly with water.
✔ Use a lightweight leave-in conditioner as needed.
✔ Detangle while damp.
✔ Scrunch curls gently.
✔ Allow curls to air dry whenever possible.
Avoid excessive brushing once curls have dried.
Lace Care
The lace is the most delicate part of your wig.
To help preserve it:
✔ Remove adhesives gently.
✔ Avoid scratching or picking at the lace.
✔ Avoid repeated chemical processing.
✔ Store the wig properly between wears.
Treat your lace gently to maximize its lifespan.
Coloring Your Wig

Sleeping

Storage
